For many of us, the holidays can be a time where stress, obligations to family and friends, binge eating and less than ideal sleep patterns turn what should be a restorative period into a destructive one. We’ve always preached the fundamentals of tribes, fuel, sleep, stress, mindfulness, all under the umbrella of a personal approach that works for you. The holidays are no different, but today we’re here to give you a little permission to relax your high standards with an understanding that sometimes we need to let go and enjoy life. Enjoy the people around you and be ok with not going into the gym for a couple of days in exchange for a much needed physical, psychological, and emotional break that usually results in improved performance anyway. It’s not about just surviving the holidays, it’s about thriving.
